I have been treated since June 06 at the FFC for EBV, HHV, and candida and then in Oct 06 was treated for cpn and mycoplasma (doxy- 400 mg/day). I retook my labs and there was no change and no change with my symptoms either.
I went off of the antibiotics for 10 days and took the igenex test for lyme. Results were:

IGM- IND for band 31 and 39.
IGG- 28 +
41 +++
23-25 IND
39 IND

Do you think that by being on the abx for so long that the test is not showing a strong positive??? I have never been diagnosed with lyme but always suspected it even though previous quest labs showed negative.

I am wondering what the doctor will say?

Most LLMD's worth their salt would treat. I assume you have plenty of lyme symptoms?

Usually, taking abx then going off before the test is done, is a good method to help it show positive.

Band 39 is VERY Lyme-specific. Nothing else can make that band show up.

Have you read this?? REad it all the way through and be sure to read the replies to the initial post.

Read Kathleen Dickson's report. Band 28 is mentioned and it is claimed that Steere said it NEVER shows up in controls so it is highly specific for lyme. http://www.fda.gov/ohrms/dockets/ac/01/slides/3680s2_11.pdf

That said, lyme is a clinical diagnosis. You need to be evaluated by an ILADS LLMD. You also need to be evaluated for co-infections which are also clinical diagnosis and will require different treatment than anything you've been taking from FFC.

IND on 31 and 39 is suggestive of Lyme

I have IND on 31 and 39 too. On my first Western blot they were they only bands IND, now I have almost all of them IND and positive at 41 on the IGM.
