Hi,

Can you share how long and how often you use the salt pipe?

Has it helped with pollen-type allergies?

The concept makes sense to me; but I am having trouble imagining myself and kids "smoking" it.
Is that what it is like?

Char

You don't smoke it, it is an inhaler.

Cheaper version below. Sis (with lyme) used one and swore by it.

http://www.bytheplanet.com/Products/Yoga/Neti/Catalog/netipotcatalog.htm

Basically using sterile saline solution in one nostril and out the other (head tipped) to flush.

Little tricky to get the hang of.

Pollens do attach to our nasal hairs.

Neti pot rinses can be helpful if all you want to do is clear the nasal passages.

Howevever, a SALT PIPE IS VERY DIFFERENT and accomplishes more.

By breathing in a salt pipe it reaches all the way down into the lungs as well as the nasal passages etc.

A salt pipe is also a lot more convenient and easier to use.

Best

Hello

Yes I love the salt pipe - it has made a huge differance in my breathing.

You don't smoke it - you inhale it.

Like another on here I don't use my inhalers much at all anymore.

I just think is the safer way to go as well.

And yes I'm talking about seasonal allergies as well as air hunger and what ever from lyme or co infections, as I often have 'yeasty' lungs - as I call them.

I have also just learned to inhale the thing into the nose and that has helped alot with the constant post nasal drip I had.

I found out about this pipe right here within these forums - sometimes this place just blows me away with all the info that may help someone.

I have been on the pipe since around end of Nov. I inhale once a day for 20 min or so (usually when I'm settleing down in bed) Lately I have cut back because I simply don't need it - my breathing is good.

It cost around 55.00 / 60.00 including shipping (well worth it) and it lasts for 5 yrs!

It truely is a wonderful product. For me it is on my MUST HAVE LIST for sure.

The saltpipe is an inhaler and the salt crystals are breathed into the lungs and bronchial tubes . I use mine about 15 or 20
minutes while watching TV . It is very effective . It loosens and thins mucous .

However , it will not stop the runny nose and watery eyes of allergy reactions.

A good drug for allergic rhinitis is beconase.
