I just posted this in another item, but thought it might be of interest in its own spot...

Thanks,
Carol Ann

After ten years of all this nonsense I've found something that actually helps me get through the day, or the parts of it that I'm awake for...

It's called ZipFizz.

There are several ZipFizz products. The one that I use is the energy drink mix. It's a powder that comes in a little plastic tube. You pour it into a bottle of water and drink it. Do not use carbonated water or it will explode like Mentos and Diet Coke!

There is very little sugar and a low level or stimulants like caffeine..

The magic ingredient is a huge dose of B12.

I have shown the product to Dr. S and my endocrinologist and both have said it looks fine to them.

You can purchase it online in several places. The least expensive spot is Costco online. The citrus flavor is the best.

Costco used to carry it in their stores, but the newer ZipFizz products have taken their shelf space in the stores. The newer products are more like the usual energy drinks with lots of stimulants and sugars.

The effect is one of highened energy and clarity, without the rush of sugars or agitation of caffeine. No rush and no crash....just a general rise in energy levels that tapers off gently.

I order it by the case since I have two teens with lyme and a husband with cancer who likes its effects.

It costs $25 per box online with Costco. The next cheapest price I've found online is $35. There are twenty little tubes in each box.

I used Provigil in the past and it was too edgy for me.

I hope this of help!

Carol Ann

I'm still fond of it so feel free to email me if you would like.

If you do decide to try it, add it to a cold bottle of water. In fact add just half of the contents of the tube to see how it effects your world.

We still use it.

Thanks, I think I'll order it online from Costco.

I'm still trying various things for energy.

I've been down the B12 road...

Even so far as to inject it into my body...with no appreciable rise in energy or relief from the devestating fatigue.

Provigil also did nothing for the PHYSICAL fatigue...just kept me mentally awake....

I am now trying a diet aid called phentomine...prescription...

Yes...I get a little jittery...however...since I have had lyme and put on something like 70pounds

due to lyme interference with my metabolism and fatigue making me sedentary...

which probably has a lot to do with why I now have diabetes2....

I thought what the heck!?

I'll let ya all know how I feel with this stuff....

I understand that many of us do not take caffeine or sugar...However many of us also are not as strict with caffeine or sugar.

I contacted Zip Fizz when I was first using it to find out exactly how much caffeine from guarana, etc,,was in the product. I was told tha the amount of caffeine is equal to that of a quarter cup of Starbucks coffee..a tall coffee, the small one.

That amount was fine with me. I drink coffee, so this isn't an issue for me.

The sugar level is also very low. I agree that there is sugar in the product, but it is a low level.

Zip Fizz works for me with the B12 being the driving ingredient without edginess or teeth grinding. The effect is very smooth for me and provides physical as well as mental energy seemingly.

Phentermine, the other half of Phen Fen, made me very edgy and cause palpitations. It is also contraindicated if you take SSRI's as it can lead to a Seratonin Cascade and cause all sorts of miseries.

Provigil also made me edgy, as if taking speed, so it was out for me.

So, we find what works best for each of us....For me that's the ZIp Fizz. It's not like the energy drinks in the market that have high levels of sugars and caffeine...It has some, but nothing in the neighborhood of the energy drinks.

So find what works best for you and your body...Lord knows we all need a little boost on some days with our fatigue and aches and pains.....Some days we simply must perform, even if we're not up to it.

Good luck!

Carol Ann
