IMPORTANT FOR ALL TEXANS. MY DR SENT THIS MESSAGE AND ASKS WE ACT ASAP, THANKS.

Colleagues,
In the wake of the hearing on HB 3056 today, it has been made clear from a
number of sources what we need to do to put HB 3056 "over the top" and get it
voted out of committee. We need to forward "home run," "slam dunk," "touchdown"
type success stories about the use of CAM by consumers.
Here are the keys: These stories need to be in the first person, NOT
written by the practitioner; they don't need tons of them, ONE per family, ONE
per practitioner; ONE page max.; keep it to the point, don't ramble; these will
be used to "fill in the gaps" for the committee members as they make their
decision on HB 3056. Please fax them to the House Government Reform Committee
at (512) 692-2971 ASAP. Do NOT send them to your representative or to
individual members of the committee. We need to educate, not overwhelm.

Thanks for the help,

Peter McCarthy, ND
Chair, TX Health Freedom Coalition

Meaning "how alternative supplements and treatments have helped us?"

They just want to hear how you were helped, ie integrative modalities, support from a ND, and the medical route you tried, how it may have worked but was limited so access to CAM practitioners and CAM therapies helped you with your recovery program.

Would they accept stories from people who don't live in TX?

I dont think so, They are really just making sure that access to CAM and freedom of choice has not harmed anyone and has helped to reduce health care costs, ie faster recovery, back to work thereby reducing unemployment and disability costs, Just be sure to praise them fora health Freedom bill in texas and that you want your state to do the same - thanks !!!
