Last night I had the gland in my neck swell up about the size of a golf ball, only the left side. Does anybody have any idea what might cause this? I called my lyme doctor and he said he didn't know why this was happening. He told me to try vitamin C. I'm not sick with a fever or anything and haven't been put on any new medicines other than what I've been on for about a year now.The swelling has gone down a little from last night but still swollen alot.I'm getting a little worried. I had a gland swell in the back of my head and around my shoulder blade. Dr. B was conviced that it was bart and treated me with levaquin for four months. So far the swollen glands have not returned. Check with your doc about co-infections.

My armpit glands got so swollen it was like walking around with two pencils under my arms at all times- it hurt- you could see them- they were red and swollen- the ER doc said he had never seen anything like it except cancer or end-stage AIDS-
all better now*!!)

This happens often to me. I'm on oral antibiotics for about a month now and I had the golf ball on my right side. For me, it's my way of being run down. Since lyme, I haven't gotten sick sick, just things like this happening. One ear gets beet red, burns us like a wild fever, then goes away a short time later. I just feel like it goes with the territory of mystery things that have been happening to me since lyme. It pops up for a day, then lessens, then does something else for a day, then leaves. My white blood cell count is pretty low also. If you find out what this is, keep me in mind. Thanks.
Good luck.
