I see alot of talk about Artemesia, but what are the best places to get it at?

I've read about Dr. Zhang's Artemesia, but that is expesive, one bottle only lasts 10 days. What would be the next best place to get Artemesia at?

Thanks

Artemsia or artemisinin?? I used to buy the artemisinin at www.organic-pharmacy.com .. Also check to see if www.vitacost.com has it.
The brand I bought was Allergy Research Group.

I'm wanting the best herb to get.

You could try 1st Chinese Herbs for the whole herb.

Apparently, artemesinin as anti-malaria drug is now subject to "counterfeiting."

And, for the same reason, the substance is expensive.

Dr. Zhang's artemesia capsules have other ingredients besides artemesia. According to his book, Lyme Disease and Modern Chinese Medicine, they contain extracts of artemesia, astragalus, and condonopsis. Pro: Dr. S. in his book on diagnosing treating Babesia says that this formula works the best. Con: Buhner in Healing Lyme states that astragalus shouldn't be used in late-stage Lyme because it activates the immune response that is already over-activated by Lyme.

Buhner is now recommending Cryptolepsis instead of artemisinin, due to some toxic reactions to artemesinin. He states, in Healing Lyme, that it is very difficult to get the medically necessary level of artemisinin from the whole herb, partly because the amount of the active ingredient varies from year to year. He says that nine GRAMS of Artemiesian annua tops parvested prior to flowering and decocted in about 1 qt. of water would will contain about 95 mg of artemisinin. If treating with the whole herb, you'd have to take enough to get an effective dose.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Cass A

Thanks. I wonder if I could just take the Dr. Zhang Art just once a days, instead of 3 times a day?

It has 400mg, and most Art doesn't contain that much.

I have read that about Buhner recommending that other herb. But I haven't read much else about it.

How many times a day do you take the Dr. Zhang Art?

Thanks
