OK,
so I know that spontaneous bruising and odd random red/purple spots are most likely caused by Babs, right?

So...

what causes your skin/muscle tissue to FEEL very bruised (slight touch) when there is no obvious sign of any bruising and you KNOW that you didn't hurt yourself in that location?

Babs again?

Thanks in advance!
Melanie

One reason that I know of are trigger points. They can sometimes hurt to the touch and are very painful. Search here for trigger points for more info.

I hope someone else will come along with more info.

I can't tell you why this happens, but I can tell you that this very thing happened on numerous areas while my husband was being treated with mepron/zith for babs.

Just the slightest touch on certain areas was very painful. Seems to have eased up since being off of babs treatment.

Not much help, I know--hope you feel better.

Thank you each so much!

Terry,
I think I do have trigger point issues, but this is not the same, as in it is not in specific small locations, but more like large patches.

Sojourner,
Yes, I am also on the mepron/zith/art protocol, so it seems to correlate.

TC,
Well now, that explains all the other nasties coming back out of hiding. (fever, nausea, insomnia, chills, extreme fatigue, etc.) Wicked, wicked Bug!

I've had things hurt like that and then have a bruise apppear days later, go figure!

I hope the herx is short lived, Melanie. [Frown]

I hope it is a herx... or else it had something to do with talking to me on the phone earlier?

[Big Grin]

Sorry for the short answer above.. I was on the phone again... and again... and again. Just got off.

So my guess would be a babs herx... OR maybe even the neurotoxin protocol? Even if going 1/4 the dose.. it can cause some wicked stuff to happen.

Actually that is the kind of pain that I describe as feeling like my skin was removed.. then the meat underneath was put through a meat grinder.. then it was pressed back into shape... and then the skin was put back in place over it.

If it doesn't hurt quite that much right now... it will. Sorry!!!! I DO hope you will feel better quickly!!! That is some nasty stuff.

And I can tell you keep looking at the affected areas.. thinking WHY don't I see a bruise there... cause that is how it feels... so, logically there should be one... but there isn't.

Am I close?

[Big Grin]

Hey BlueBird,
Sorry, I KNOW you are having your own Babs party over there. Feel better soon.

TC,
Forgive me for pretty much hanging up on you...nausea overcame me. But I DO appreciate the follow-up call! And YES, I had forgotten all about the CSM...can I add cognitive issues to the symptom list? Ground up flesh pretty much does describe this, thanks for that.

Mag,
Yes, quite a few of my PN and other misc. nerve issues are misbehaving and even switching sides right now. It feels like the bugs are packing up and looking for new places to take up residence!

CaliforniaLyme,
Thanks for your input as well.

Tree-hugger,
Hey Dearheart, so sorry to know you have been through the ringer recently. I do hope things are calming down? I've had to stop all meds a couple of times in the last year due to toxin overload, but think I am OK with it now.

I really don't want to keep interrupting the Mepron specifically (and my doc wholeheartedly agrees) due to all I have read re: Babs resistance. Although, I am well aware that sometimes meds just have to be stopped to clear everything out. (Learned that the hard way a few times now)

Again...THANK YOU to each!
M
