First..I want to thank everyone for being so kind and welcoming..
I happened across a post on here the other day and dang if I can't find it again.. But it caught my eye, literally, because I have the same problem..
I started having problems with floaters in my eyes as far back as 1994, but they have become increasingly worse, especially in the last year..
I was also sent to an opthamalogist around that same time because I was having trouble focusing my eyes together.. It was really a bother when I was driving.
All of that went away until about 2006, except for some minor floaters.. But when it came back, it came back in full force...
Now I have a rash that looks similar to severe acne around my left eye only..and I there are days when it is hard to see, because of the floaters..
I also experience alot of pain in both eyes and am constantly clearing a thick substance out of them, especially the left one; the one with the rash..
Does anyone know what causes this and what it is?? I have not officially been diagnosed with Lyme, just Fibromyalgia...but I understand the eyes are affected by the Lyme..in just the way mine are..
On days when this is worse...and I am already in a "brain fog", it is pretty impossible to even think about doing anything and that, to me, is even more depressing...
Can anyone help and tell me what this???

Hey there..
Sounds like you should make another trip to the eye doctor. I am NOT a doctor but I can say that there are certain times we don't mess around. One is with the heart.. the other is with the eyes.
Lyme can cause multiple problems with eyes.. as can some of the other tick borne coinfections.. like Bartonella.
This could be bacteria or viral related.. or none of that... and something totally different.
Floaters can be increased due to inflammation.. but also for other reasons.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo..
Now that I've told you nothing as far as a direct answer goes.... maybe a trip to the doctor would be in order?
Take it from me. I am now legally blind due to Lyme and coinfections... so this is something you don't want to "wait and see" about. Had I been given proper Lyme treatment.. I wouldn't be in this boat... with permenant damge.
