I haven't had this in a very long time.
I am almost 4 months into Babs treatment and have added Zith(switched out the Amoxy) 12 days ago. I'm assuming it is kicking up Bart.
It feels like tightness and pulling in the arches, sometimes into the part of the heel. (and spreading)
The past few days it has been intense and sometimes moves to the other foot or I have both. It comes and goes a little, like will stop for a part of a day and then come roaring back, bad.
Anything I can do for this? I'm using my last pair of foot pads hoping it pulls some badness out.
(I feels so tight I'm afraid to stretch for fear something will snap.)
sorry so scattered, any and all suggestions greatly appreciated... true

i am on bruhner for lyme, never been tested or treated for co-infections.

Thanks Hope 4 better,
Yeah, that's pretty darn close, actually, but also does it when I'm sitting perfectly still. And it's pulling on the side of my heels and making some of the muscles up my shin pull too. Pfft...
Hoping to wake up with it gone in the morning, at least for a while. Yesterday I woke up with it but today it took until evening to come back.
Ankles, wrists and hands all seem to have weird stuff going on.
Babs, Bart, Lyme... who the heck knows.

Dear True,
I woke the other night to cramps in my arches.
Started at 4:00 with right foot....Had to get up and try to walk it out.
Then, magically at 5:00...the left arch.
Ouch!!!!
I am currently on bart treatment...Rifampin and bactrim..
I have had sore feet and all of that, but that is the first time I had cramps in my arches.
I added some potassium in my diet....I actually gave in and ate a banana...
Haven't had anything like that in quite some time due to the sugar.
I have to admit it has helped with the cramps...
Now I am just sore...just about everywhere on the bottom of my feet.
Hope you get some relief soon...
I am going to ask my LLMD about a potassium supplement next time I see him.
That's one of those 4.00 a month Rx from Wally World.
Hugs,
Geneal

Ouch Betty, I've had fascitis before and it's really no fun at all. I hope it gets better and you are coming along in your recovery.
What I've got experiencing is very different. It feels like, and I am not sure, some sort of tendonitis or other tightening of the connective tissue pulling the arches and everything they attach to.
Hi Geneal, Ack, sorry about the foot cramps. I do ahve all the time foot pain but not the wake you up cramps. Yeah, I should be thankful for that. I'm sorry they've got you and glad the banana helped.
If I wasn't in the "yes, we have no bananas" category today I'd try one. (Perhaps a baked potato instead, as I have potatoes in the house.)
I think I'll take a shot of magnesium to see if that helps. Ugh, cherry mag citrate, nasty.
I hope your foot pains resolve soon, Betty and Geneal, and thanks for your responses.

sorry so blunt but -GET TO A PODIATRIST!
Had my arches pop and collapse. Walked/walk on inside ankles. Yep, had to have reconctrictive surgery to rebuild left foot. Still can't walk, only wih crutches, and pain in both feet.
Don't negelact, may just need an orthodic (prescribed). Wish, I had did something BEFORE they popped.

Wearing elastic ankle supports reduces the pain for me. Tight enough to constrict a little, but not so tight to cut off circulation.

Thanks Aniek
It seems to have spread out to other parts so am guessing it's big old, full moon, just a little way into, Zith herx.
I'm drinking some lemon juice w/water to see what happens.
I'll go slow and be careful not to sproing anything and see how tomorrow is.
Sticking the arch supports back in my shoes helped quite a bit. Not sure my orthotics would work; they are very old and not used for a long time.

PT was very helpful for me with Plantar Fascitis. Lots of strectching excercises & orthotics helped get me back to normal in about a month.
