My spleen showed either a "hematoma" or a "parasitic sack" when I had a CT done of my abdomen. The doctor was SURE it had to be an old bruise basically, because I would have been really sick (which I was) and would have had to travel to a third world country to get a parasite that would cause that. I haven't traveled anywhere other than Mexico, Europe, and the US. But I KNOW I was in Florida when I came home and two weeks later got so sick I thought I would die, and all my symptoms came after that illness, progressing and changing for a decade. Florida was where I got either lyme, or a parasite. Are there parasites in the US?

I'm in a state where there is NO help for lyme patients, there isn't a doctor here that won't laugh at the idea I could have lyme, despite a positive test from Igenex (and interestingly enough, a negative test from the ID doc here).

Anyway, I haven't really thought about a parasitic infection before. I'll search the site for info people have posted on that, but maybe there is a natural protocol for parasites?

Has anyone else seen a CT of their spleen, and was it normal or did it show something there? I don't have any form of cancer or other spleen related issues. I was in a car accident when young, so it could be an old bruise.
