I have been taking Omnicef for three months now and I don't see any benefits. Anyone else taking it and getting success?
Thanks-Buckman

I'm on it now. When I first switched over to Omnicef (from doxy) I herxed hard for about a week and a half. Then the herx lessoned.. it isn't until this week that I have felt better.
I know that SixGoofyKids is also on Omnicef and is having some success with it.
It's a good drug... oh by the way.. It is going generic sometime in the next 30 days.

Have you been treated and tested for co-infections?
Having an active co-infection can stop the body from fighting lyme disease.

Was on Omnicef for 8 months and didn't feel like it was doing anything for me. Switched to Biaxin XL and started to feel great after only one month. I guess we are all different, probably have different strains of Bb?

Omnicef taken w/Biaxin I was just told today by my LLMD is an excellent combo. He is a well respected LLMD (pres of ILADS) and says that Biaxin can kill some co-infections, Bart and HME Ehrilcihosis, he said not many LLMD's are aware of this. That probably is why so many get well on Biaxin. Ask your LLMD about this combo. Take care.
