Hi everyone,

I have dry mucus membranes/nose/eyes/throat,lungs, sometimes, and when it gets bad
like now, it gets bad.

I first had this start happening, when I went OFF antibiotics 2 years ago, and 30 days off them, relapsed, the growth cycle, so I would assume this would mean

the dry stuff is lyme? The dry mucus membranes. I also got sick from heat/sun.
NEVER had this before in my life, until then.

I have a REALLY bad cold now, and the dryness is back, and I am on the antibiotics.

I thought it may have been autoimmune, but was tested for lupus and other autoimmune but not tested for sgdrons syndrome.

I found that the antibiotics helped it, sometimes got 80% better, so this would tell me that it is lyme?

Or has anyone else found it to be another tick infection?

My immune is very low from the cold/flu, so maybe this is why the dry is back, lyme can get worse despite being on antibiotics when I get the flu or cold bad?

Which tick infection directly goes into the mucus membranes like the sinus, the lungs, the throat?

Trish

Trish, lyme will often get worse when you contract a cold or flu. I'm thinking perhaps you should be checked by a good Naturopath for the sinus. Certainly could be lyme but an immune system drop can make you susceptible to all kinds of bacteria and viruses.

I have had dry and hollow mucous membranes ever since I developed chronic MCS 3 years ago following a toxic chemical exposure.

Before then I would only get that when I had a cold.

Now its chronic. Im even sensitive to all the nasal sprays so I cant use those either.

I just deal with it and stopped wearing colognes and air fresheners.

I've had this too - maybe not the lungs, but the nose, mouth, throat etc. I drench them in ENTsol or Simply Saline. Take Mucinex. Drink lots of water. And humidify your bedroom.
