First, I would like to thank all of you who answered my question about getting my 13 yr old son tested..

I have to run some information down to my PC today, so I am going to talk to him about starting my son on an antibiotic..

That brings me to my first question... My son is allergic to several antibiotics, including Biaxin, Bactrim, Amoxicillin, Penicillin, Augmenten, Cefaclor...

He doesn't have "life-threatening" reactions to them, but develops bad rashes from them...

I know that one of the most recommended antibiotics is Doxycyclin and he did take one dose at hospital without problems..

Does anyone know if Doxy is related to these other antibiotics?? And if there is any other antibiotics that can be used that might not cause this reaction??

Also...as far as my symptoms go... As I said, I believe that I have late stage Lyme, having already been diagnosed with Fibro...

But the other night, on top of all my other symptoms, I developed a very painful "charley horse" on the inside of my left thigh...

Has anyone else had that happen?? I have never felt such torturing pain. It knotted up tight and , unlike tightening calves, this one could not be walked out...in fact walking only made it worse..

Does anyone know what this was caused by and how I may be able to avoid it happening again??
