I can tell you that this article is already causing anguish for long-term Lyme patients who have been legitimately diagnosed with on-going active infection, and who are trying to find acceptance among their families.
Please see the Activism thread for details on how to respond with letters to the Washington Post. As hard as it is, we should remain respectful.

I see a few people are posting about this in Medical.
There's a thread in Activism with the article and all the address info for submitting a letter.
This paper has a wide readership in the nation's capital (note to all those supporting the Lyme bills!) It's especially important to voice our protests and to offer correct information.
