In a quest for better health and detox, I have been eating lots of organic broccoli.
This is the only food besides eggs, nuts and salad that I feel better afterwards. Everything else gives me stabbing burning pains and hangover feelings. (yeast?)
I have also read that broccoli increases cytochrome p450 enzyme and also has natural anti-biotic agents that kill H Pylori.
However I also heard that It can lead to gout.
Is there really a danger in eating this amount of broccoli?
Id love to stick with it to detox, since I herx on almost everything.
I feel that its helping detox me. I lightly steam it with a little organic butter afterwards.

I always feel that if something that is healthy is tasting really good, it must have something your body is craving.
I'm sure the cravings will go away as quickly as they came. I used to be that way with beets ... I still eat them, but I don't NEED them anymore.

I do crave it. I feel that it gives me oxygen.
I also (about an hour later) get a metal taste in my mouth.
This has always been a sign to me that Im either detoxing or ive taken too much biaxin.
The metal taste I always associate with the liver.

We eat broccoli a couple of times a week. Just because we like it.
I've also been telling hubby to eat lots of nuts while on IV. The oils in the nuts are supposed to help the colon. It has helped him a lot, I think.

Mmmmmm I love broccoli!
Broccoli Salad
Fresh broccoli chopped raisens raw peanuts mayonaise (I use veganaise due to an egg allergy) Honey (2 tbsp)(I use Stevia due to yeast) splash of vinegar (to he!! with the yeast)
This is really good. I took my version with the veganaise and stevia in it to a family gathering and everyone wiped it out. They never knew about the substitutions. It is that good.

Thanks for the recipe. I am going to try it. I think I will use lemon instead of the vinegar. I like Vegenaise and stevia lots.

Personally, I do not think it is possible to eat too much broccoli!
I eat it steamed, with a little olive oil, garlic powder and salt.
Last night we baked broccoli with garlic, olive oil and goat cheese on top, was great!

As far as the large amounts of broccoli, what about iron. Isint there iron in broccoli?
Is this bad?

I havent had broccoli in a week, which is saying something since i used to eat it daily.

This is amazing. There ARE others like me who developed extreme symptoms from simple carbs.
