I have ear fullness/ ear congestion/ ear pain on the Left side, jaw pain on the left and some headahes on the left. I am almost always dizzy. I have seen many ear doctors and have had all sorts of tests done and they can find NOTHING the matter. I know this is a symptom of Lyme and Babesia (I have been on treatment now for 9 months). I am wondering if anyone else has had this and what has worked because I am going crazy! -Nikki

Rifampin for bart made the most difference for me regarding this symptom. Babs tx helped some, but bart tx really cleared it up.

I can relate to all of that.

It seems that dizziness gets worse when I release/redistribute mercury.

Did you have a CT of your sinuses?
I had similar symptoms before my sinus surgery, but now after months of healing they have gone away.

You picked out my favorite ( and persistent symptoms). Not in any particular order- this is what helped.

1.) Rifampin for bartonella ( kicked that chit out of there in four months).

2.) diflucan long term.

3.) Trigger point therapy.

I went through all the tests, vestibular, etc etc ad nauseam and they never found anything either. HOWEVER, two months ago those sx creeped back in on me and lo and behold, I had an actual sinus infection. I took the abx, and the problem resolved.

However, it just came back- I know my lyme is playing havoc on my sinuses again. SO, while it could be a sinus problem causing those symptoms, even if it is, it could be LYME that made them go funky like that.

other than those listed above, I had NO luck with anythign else I did in four years.

For me, the jaw pain is related to babesia.

I also get the ear fullness.

I had these symptoms come back within two weeks of finishing up my

First 3 month run of babs treatment. This was prior to going on rifampin.

The jaw pain etc, had gone away during my first round of babesia treatment.

I have been on rifampin for over one month now without any cessation of the

Jaw pain, ear fullness, dizziness and air hunger and a stiff, painful neck.

I know everyone is different.

It is as I treat different co-infections that I can relate which symptoms go with each infection.

There is so much overlap, sometimes it is difficult to tell.

Is this babs, bartonella, Lyme or a combo of all of the above???

My sole pain (foot) is going away with rifampin.

My LLMD agrees that my jaw pain, etc. is related to babs for me.

I sure hope you get some relief soon.

Hugs,

Geneal

I also have these symptoms, and they are at times the most bothersome of all. Keep in mind that lyme induced TMJ issues can cause these and so can problems with the 5th and 7th cranial nerves which is also seen with lyme etc.. I am no doctor but this is info given to me by llmds.

Good luck, Rich

Trigger point therapy. Basically, a small injection of lidocaine into the muscle knots you undoubtedly have somewhere on the back of your skull.

Use your knuckle and poke really hard - you'll find it. The headache is referred pain from the knot (and it may possibly radiate down into your shoulder as well).

The dizziness is because the spazm blocks blood flow near your center of balance.

Beg your LLMD for trigger point injections - it's inexpensive and most insurance will cover.

In the interim, you gotta keep at those knots - have a friend use their knuckle and PRESS till you can't take it. My LLMD said it's like a thumb war - sooner or later, something's got to give.

To avoid getting more in the future - look into IM Magnesium injections.
