please anybody help. i am at wit's end and am scared to death.

i was up all last night, shaking and absolutely terrified. searching the web for anything i could find.

i have this red, incredibly itchy rash with white pimples on the left side of my neck, now spreading to the middle. the itch is unbelievable.

i found cutaneous candida and intertrigo which i think are the same thing. but bottom line is both are candida.

my doc has stopped everything, and i mean everything, all meds, vitamins, supplement drinks, i'm on basically water right now.

i'm going out of my mind imaging all kinds of things -- hospitalization, dying, etc....

has anybody had rashes with their candida? been hospitalized? been really, really sick, like wishing you were dying, or maybe you really were dying type?

i just need to talk to someone and not have them tell me this is heat rash because i'm overweight (hubby's opinion of course.)

i need help here guys.........

Impetigo?

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/impetigo/DS00464

Pictures, symptoms, treatment, prevention...click on links...

A prescription strength topical antibiotic, such as mupirocin (Bactroban), is also very safe and effective. Its use often makes oral treatment unnecessary.

I hate to even suggest this, but when I get poison ivy it looks like what

You are describing (on me anyways).

Could it be something like that???

Sending you less itchy thoughts.

Try some benadryl for the itching.

Hugs,

Geneal

Hi Randi

Post a picture if you can--
also Keep picture for later use with doc

Yeast can cause a bad rash but you will have
other signs of candida also-Gas -stomic ache ect

Try putting wet Baking Soda compress on rash

also regular Tooth Paste can be put on rash
to suck out bad stuff-
I know it sounds crazy but it works real good--Jay

If it's yeast you can put the cream used for vaginal yeast infections on it.

My mother had this all the time while she was in assisted living. Part of it was from her diet, the other part was from her crashed immune system.

Systemic yeast is common amongst lyme patients, they just don't realize it!!!

Got any Diflucan??

What antibiotics were you on when the rash first appeared? This can be a clue.

When I was on Levaquin, I got a horrible hive-like rash that could have been an allergic reaction, but also could have been a Bart rash. In hindsight, we think it was probably Bart.

I have a different kind of rash now with Rifampin - more pimply. But a definite Bart rash.

That's why I'm asking about the meds - whether this is a herx/rash of some sort.

Also, your doctor (a primary care physician) can culture many rashes. I've had a reappearing one that was cultured and came back positive - they think it's something I picked up just from being at the medical clinic and having such a compromised immune system.

Zanfel is the best anti itch wash ever.
You can get it online or at CVS.
It is about 35.00 but worth every penny.

If it's yeast you can use Lotrimin. Be sure to take lots of probiotics, too ... don't know how that will help with the rash, but if you have a yeast rash, it's elsewhere, too.

I second Lymetoo's suggestion of Diflucan ... then once you start up on antibiotics again I'd be taking Nystatin with them.
