Hello all,

I've had blurry vision in my left eye for six months. Eye doc says swollen nerves in eye....no other explanation or reason given.
I had a root canal tooth extracted and all that bone scraping etc. done which showed necrosis and inflammation. Dental area healed fairly well but.....pain in that area of extraction is returning and in the other three quadrants of my jaw/teeth/oral cavity. My left eye is still blurry......
ENT doc says TMJ but I have five dentists that don't agree with that....jaw movement is within normal range. I do wear a hard oral splint.
Some pain behind left ear is returning also.
I have numbness on left side also/jaw/gums/tongue/cheek...........
So, have any of you been through this and do you have any explanations/treatments?
I will probably have a CT with contrast....I've had MRI's and CT and nothing shows up. I'd like a gallium scan but don't know if anyone will order it (it is a test that shows inflammation).
My regualr doc ran blood work for mercury but....it was normal.
Sorry this is so long..........not getting any answers from docs and since I live in Texas now I don't really have a lyme doc and am unable to travel.
Thanks for any responses
ShelleyA

Blood work for Mercury is a joke, unless you have had recent major exposure to HG, HG easily leaves the blood and deposits in tissues, nerve areas, etc.

Find someone who does lymph drainage with machines, not manual and does microcurrent for the eyes. The optic nerve may have toxins blocking circulation. Also the microcurrent has programs that works with the jaws, gums, etc. This has done wonders for my eyes, astigmatism, etc.

If you are looking for a good dentist or 2 in Texas, feel free to e-mail me: [email protected]

And yes, a blood test for heavy metals is useless.
The different forms of mercury live inside and outside the cells - never make it into the blood stream -- maybe just once in a while a wee bit. Mercury does not live in the blood.

You may want to read the info on Scott's (Better Health Guy's) website --- if it is still on there. It explains heavy metal testing. Even the best test can't find it if your body will not release it -- for a variety of reasons (sulfa residuals, structural problems, scars and old injuries, emotional, etc.) I have posted about mercury and the problems it causes at least 4000 times over the years! Maybe do a search here.

Take care.

P.S. This explains how mercury makes its move in our body! http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=040801

Hi -- I'm not a doctor, and don't know to what extent the root canal situation could be affecting you. Having said that, I know Lyme can affect any of our nerves, causing a lot of facial symptoms.

I drink Ultra mangosteen juice and that stops all my eye symptoms -- eye pain, blurry vision and light sensitivity.

It worked right away for me -- within one hour the eye pain diminished and clearer focus returned. Within 24 hours, the light sensitivity ended and I could take off my dark specs.

The juice is anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant. If you try any kind of mangosteen juice, drink lots of water with it.

Thanks all.

I know the blood test for mercury is useless but..........try telling that to a reg. doc.....my doc was attempting to learn and treat lyme here but...........then things changed and doc can no longer treat lyme..
I will take your responses with me to my next visit.
My last doc had lyme..........so treatments were geared to my symptoms.......not so with a doc that is lymeless......
I've been taking mangosteen capsules but I don't have any eye improvement.
I definitely have an infection........cause unknown ...which leads me to believe it's mercury upsetting the apple cart.
I am working on removing all my teeth....all but three are root canals and I really don't have that many left.
Thanks again for all your input. I am waiting to hear from my dentist...........he is a ? biological dentist..........as ya'll know it just takes money.

Shelly,

This is just my experience, and i'm not a doctor:

After I'd been in treatment for about 7 months, I chipped a tooth and had some dental work done to repair it. I'd discussed my medical situation with my dentist, and I know he did the work he needed slowly and carefully (dental guards, etc).

After my second session with him, I began to experience seizures and a LOT of facial numbness. It was a first for both those symptoms.

At that point, my LLMD started me on Rifampin (in addition to the ceftin I was taking) for bartonella. After starting the rifampin, both those symptoms completely vanished. I haven't had problems with seizures since then, and I only get facial numbness now during herxes (and then not very often at all).

My point in saying this is that if you haven't been tested yet for co-infections, you might want to do that. Beyond that, I honestly can't say. Because I'm taking several things, it's often hard for me to point clearly to cause and effect...though there's little doubt, for me, that the dental work in some way precipitated these other seizures.

I hope you're able to find some answers and get this all taken care of.

Andie
