I've tried everything to stop the constant pain and throbbing behind the eyes and neck.
It feels like my brain is going to pop out of my head with pressure.
On mepron and zith for 1 1/2 mnths now and it went away for one week and came right back.
No pain relievers seem to work. Any suggestions

Keep going with the babs meds. My headaches did not break until my 6th month of treatment. Adding septra along with mepron and biaxon has really helped as well.
Not a doc, just a suggestion.

My only symptom for three years was headaches, neurological headaches in my occipital and supraorbital and trigeminal nerves.
If your headaches are neurological, there are options. I had a reputable pain clinic isolate the nerves causing the problems and then actually implant two peripheral nerve stimulators on those nerves and I've been up and walking about ever since.
A PNS (peripheral nerve stimulator) is a small battery pack like a pacemaker with two wires coming out of it. They place one set of leads on each nerve causing problems and they deaden the pain, virtually messing up the pain signal to the brain.
If you've ever used a 'tens' unit, it is similar, but more precise.
For me, it was a miracle stopgap which gave me a life while we treat the lyme disease that started to eat my nerves. I do not have MS, I have lyme.
PM me if you need more info.

The headaches can be unbearable, but hang in there, treating babs will help.
While you're treating the babs, has your LLMD offered any suggestions?
Maybe you could go with some ideas for him/her (like the one above - that sounds good)?
Mine had several options - most didn't work, but we did find one migraine med that seemed to work well.
Ins wouldn't cover it, & the cost was prohibitive, so after I ran out of samples, I had to wave bye-bye to that one. Bummer.
Other than that - dark quiet rooms, cold packs and lavender oil, lots of water, lots of sleep... none of which made the headache go away, but that's how I get through it...

I know exactly what you mean, I'm sure it even hurts to focus your eyes to read this. My babesia headaches and night sweats are almost completely gone after literally years of mepron and zithromax and ketek...
It wasn't until new llmd tried a different course of treatment, malarone and lariam. Hang in there, perhaps you might want to suggest a change in treatment.
For the immediate pain I practically od'd on ibuprofen, others had suggested diamox and topamax.
Hope you feel better soon
