I just got back a positive IgG for Mycoplasma Pneumoniae.

But I'm not sure if I have it or not..

Does anyone know what the symptoms are?

HMMMMM I'm not sure. Were you having any symptoms?? Seems it would be a VERY good idea to treat it either way!

Mycoplasma can cause the same exact symptoms that lyme can cause. It is a bacteria that needs to be treated for many months to possibly years to get rid of. A standard antibiotic should take care of it after a period of time.

It is true, there are many bacteria that can cause the same symptoms because they evolved in a similar way and cause the same inflammation. I learned it on www.marshallprotocol.com .

I just tested IGG for mycoplasm pneumonia too.

I find this a tad interesting because when i first got sick it started with two bad bought of bronchitis. treated with a antibiotic that isnt suseptable to myco.

Ive read some dr treat IGG infection of this and some do not. I also read that it starts in the lungs and then moves throughout the body and is often tougher than lyme to treat.

what did your dr say?

I got diagnosed with Mycroplasma and Chlamydia pneumonia in March.

My Dr.is treating melong term with Zith.

The first month was extremely painful and I had to sleep upright to breathe.

I am doing better with it now.

It is hard to eradicate as it is not airborne.

It is in your tissues and muscles and is usually dormant until you start abx treatment.

At least that is what my LLMD told me.

My PCP said my lungs sounded fine. That is normal.

Good luck with your battle with it. I am right in there with you!!!!

Here is a good article about treating mycoplasmas:

Olive leaf extract might be helpful, I'm going to try it myself for mycoplasma: http://www.seagateproducts.com/ss-images/townsend-letter-may.pdf
