I don't know about the rest of you but I think that a sign of effective outcry and activism......and solid science being presented is that "the other side" is becoming desperate.

The attacks are coming from everywhere. More doctors are being targeted and the media is hammering away at this idea of Post Lyme Disease.

What makes it post lyme is what I want to know? The Steere camp ...and whoever else is involved, have come up with an arbitrary time limit on the length of treatment which is supposed to cure the disease.

Most often they tell us that if on the 31st day of our antibiotic treatment, we still have the exact same symptoms...that we now magically have post lyme syndrome. Are we all robots....maybe we're all cloned and that is why we are expected to all react the same to the regimented protocol?

Even with ear infections, many times extended antibiotics need to be given...and sometimes switched to different antibiotics. You don't hear continued infection being called "Post Ear Infection Syndrome."

Notice they never address coinfections, pleomorphism or the various strains of lyme which are not being tested for. The Press, we know is controlled to a great extent. We have to figure out how to circumvent this and get the news out there of the obvious problems with testing and the scam that is being perpetrated on the public.

The government organizations which are basically corporations...are NOT stupid. They don't need to be educated...they already know. But...yes...the public does need educating and even if we have to take to the streets and hand out info one on one....then that's what we need to do.

We also need to educate the public ...and activists as to how plans and information gets leaked to the other side....the tactics used to infiltrate. We need to get down to business.

We need to keep making noise and not get discouraged or give up. "They" are worried because they know we have Truth on our side

I agree that they are getting desperate! I pray Blumenthal can do something for us!

Meantime, I am not sure that all doctors are buying their garbage any more. I have a new PCP who works with Dr. H. and is very supportive.

Since ending up in the ER with atrial fibrillation, I have seen a cardiologist who was not a bit reluctant to agree that my heart problems were most likely due a flare of my lyme.
I get results from nuclear stress test today.

After all I have been through (like all of us!),
with umpteen ducks,it has been very refreshing.

As stated in the Open Eye documentary we have a hidden epidemic and are headed for a tsunami!
I believe that to be the case.

Pray every day that RIGHT wins out!

Dear Nan,

Hope you get good results on nuclear stress test.

I think the saying of "too many cooks spoil the broth" applies here.

There are too many cooks trying to discredit "chronic Lyme".

Things are definitely heating up....now is the time to put more fuel in the fire, not back away from the heat.

I am not a conspiracy theory person, but something "smacks" of cover up here.

It has from the beginning.

The Truth will be told. It always is.

I agree that Lyme disease will be a common household word in time.

If they could get accurate testing and accurate reporting of this disease, I am sure it would be now.

I still don't get the two tiered testing requirement of the CDC....

Wonder how you get rid of that ridiculous requirement??!!!

Every where you look, the so called "experts" are trying to discredit the disease and the thousands of people infected with it.

You must ask yourself Why?!!!

Here's to turning on the heat....I am not going away....and neither is Lyme disease.

Hugs,

Geneal

Just caught the end of a segment of an ABC morning show (I think) which featured a Dr. Fallon. Very informative and very threatening to the other side.

What is the other side afraid of? Could it be the flood of lawsuits against the brain-dead, compassion-less drs who refused to treat us?

recently, tuberculosis has been in the news. a reportedly difficult to detect and antibiotic resistant strain that is deadly has 'emerged'.

typically, TB is hard to detect and treat, and antibiotic courses (and combinations) of an average of nine months is not uncommon.

i cannot think of a single reason why Lyme disease should be regarded or attended to with any less complex a focus.

Well Sizzled....."what do we do?". That's a good question. I struggle with that question almost continuously. When I'm in one frame of mind I think of action and spreading the word, standing outside grocery stores with condensed info on this subject(by the way, this has been effective).

We don't have to have the controlled media on our side. Our country is still free enough where we can make our own copies of articles and links to studies which show that infection is persistant and how inaccurate the testing is.

I think we need to take responsibility for getting the info out there. When enough people with M.S, ALS, CFS, FM, Parkisons, ADD Arthritis...etc....realize that they have been scammed then there will be alot of punch behind the lyme movement.

You see..the other side, which wants money and control, can only succeed when most people are in ignorance. This is why they have to use the media to convince everyone that lyme is not a problem. "They" are fewer in numbers than the average citizens. The only way the few can control the many is through deception.

Now, when I am in my other frame of mind I think of the many things I've read which speak of NOT FIGHTING evil because that only perpetuates it and gives it more seeming power. This tactic has been a failure throughout all history. We may see temporary gain from fighting but it is only temporary. I think we all need to turn unreservedly to God...every day and whenever it comes to mind during the day. We need to Dwell in that Secret Place of the Most High. We need to feel the presence of God every minute of our lives. I don't feel we have to pray for certain things because only God...or the One Mind knows what is truly needed. So, I think that our prayer needs to be for God's presence and Love to fill us. When we accomplish that....all the rest follows. We will be led in the right direction. We will feel how we should react to the seeming perpetrators. It's like we won't have to worry about the details. We will feel compelled to act in certain ways ...ways which will benefit everyone...even the other side. We musn't desire revenge

Well, sorry for the lecture but that's what you get for asking me a question like that. :-)

We do have to do both....gaining more of a spiritual atmosphere and then doing the human tasks which we are led to do

Tincup had a very effective letter writing campaign to the majority of drs. in Maryland who would deal with Lyme cases directly.

They had an official letter with documents and (directions? on how to handle symptomatic patients.) Well, it was very effective and they saw a marked increase in scripts for patients.

I asked Tincup to email me with info on how to duplicate what was done in Maryland. Tincup must not have seen my post because I never heard anything. Now TIncup is gone fishing.

Does anyone know or have a copy of the packet of info that was sent to the drs.?

We could do mailings to drs.. if even 1,000 drs. per state were educated it would help immensely.

Also, look at what Bettyg has done! Great work!

kay, thanks for the compliments on my library window display, etc.

kay, i vaguely remember seeing what tc sent out...can't remember if it was on here or her private email she sends to her activism lyme group list.

please send me an email to my home since you have it, and remind me...i'll look MONDAY.

tomorrow is devoted on working on 20 silk flower arrangements for tops of 9" wedding cakes for my friend's daughters wedding. i've had this project about 2 weeks, and she's called twice since dropping it off. she vacuums monthly for me without charging; bartering my services on silk flower arrangements, etc. i've got to do them all at once before i start other things.

got to DUST; been MANY months!! uffda; not my thing anymore.

today, i went to walmart; outside were 3 ladies selling homemade breads/goodies.

so sitting outside stores; GOING TO FARMER'S MARKETS as someone else said is good! you reach a whole variety of folks.

your local radio shows....call-ins

tv coverage if you can get; i'm working on that one with the son of someone i grew up with.

church; how about educational sessions there afer a potluck, etc?

GOING TO SCHOOLS but it's too late, but IN FALL AND IN SPRING!!

i sent an email to the direction of the state agency i worked for with 3500+ employees saying i'd like to meet with her, have their reproduction print folks copy my lyme brochure, and telling her of various educational videos, etc. NEVER heard from her; bad timing, her daughter accidentally shot herself in the head with a gun after winning her 1st trial lawyer case! [Frown]

daystar, could you please break up your LONG solid blocks of text into shorter paragraphs so we can comprehend/read your comments. i do NOT WANT TO MISS ANYTHING IMPORTANT you have to say my friend. do you hear anything from our 16 yr. old genious who wrote the lyme paper? [Wink]

daystar, i'd really like to rea what you posted ok!

majority of us here are neuro lymies and can not read long, solid blocks of text like you posted.

would you kindly edit your post by clicking on PENCIL ICON and then break it up in 3-4 sentences unless you are a wordy person, then less ok.

hit the enter key twice after EACH paragraph as we neuro lymies need this to comprehend and read what you/others post. do this until you are all done ok.

click edit send; done. THANKS. please do this on all posts/replies. otherwise, we will SCROLL ON BY, SOB, without reading/replying. it's your choice. [Big Grin] [Wink]

Hey Daystar gal...and you, bettyg...I have to say I find "chopped-up" posts as difficult to read and concentrate on as long (though I don't consider 6 or 7 sentences "long") blocks of text.

First there is one sentence.

Then there is another.

Then a couple more.

We're still going.

Another few.

Have we forgotten what the 1st sentence was yet?

How about now?

What was that important thing again?

How does it relate?

Where am I??????

Keep on keepin' on.

Sigh..............

Guess you can't please everyone.

(Love you Daystar.)

laurie, that's right; you can't please everyone and 1 line entries are definitely the PITS using yours as an example!!!

marj,
i heard from our tv reporter, eric hanson, from CBS..KCCI TV in des moines, iowa last night. he did a search of their archives and found on average, they do 5 pieces a year on lyme. he would put ALL the info from the 3 emails i sent him in the file on LYME for the next lyme piece they do!

public library also removed my lyme petition from the handout table by my lyme display; must be at info desk and be ASKED FOR!! due to liability issues! [cussing]
