I had something like that shortly after taking Ketek. When I went in to see my nurse during IV, she told me to stop taking the Ketek because I was having an allergic reaction to it. After I stopped taking it, they slowly went away. It took about a week and a half for them to disappear completely. I still have some rashes on my arms where they were, but they don't look bad nor do they itch.
My Coinfection tests were negative too. BUT I don't want them to retest those again, they were too expensive. For now we're going to go under the assumption that Lyme is the only thing I have.

this one doctor i went to (ya'll know the one i'm talking about) said everyone had co-infections and it didn't matter because you have to treat the lyme anyway....
that's not, uh, exactly what i've been reading here. just another reason i left 'em....

Babs testing will only help to rule in not rule out babesia. There are many strains and the tests only cover a few. If you have babs symptoms, then babs treatment needs to be tried.

I have had them since early in my lyme infection, and they have very slowly increased over the last 7 years, despite multiple antibiotics. I have tested negative for babesia, bartonella, and ehrlichia, but positive for lyme. The raised ones are called "cherry angiomas", and can be common in older people. Most docs in my experience seem rather unconcerned about either of them. They appear to be mini-hemorrages to me, reflective of vascular fragility. Whether from an unknown viral co-infection, the lyme, or something else, no one seems to know for sure.
