Hi. So I finally got my butt in gear and started exercising... swimming or run/walking every day for the last week. Since I started this though I have been seriously exhausted. Like, ready to go to sleep at 4 in the afternoon kind of exhausted. I also noticed that I am running a bit of a fever (99.3 with normal being between 96-97). Is this Lyme related or do you think its just getting used to exercise again? Thanks!

When I excercise I get a fever also. The reason they tell you to excercise thoguh is because it raises body temperature and kills the spiochete!

You might want to excercise harder one day & rest one day (or excercise more gently), so as to start slowly. Dr. B. mentions this approach in his most recent guidelines; as I recall, ages ago he also said excercise a little daily even if it means you have to nap all afternoon. .
When I started swimming again, all I could handle was 10 minutes a couple of times a week. Now, a year later, I can do 40 minutes, sometimes every day. But if I do it every day, I always, on the 5th or 6th day, I get hit with exhaustion and have to spend a day doing nothing.
I have not noticed a fever with excercise, but I have noticed that when I get an exhaustion day, I am also running hotter than usual, and often also feel a little nauseous.

Another thing Dr. B says is that you should NOT do aerobic exercise unless you have the stamina. Lift light weights.
Check out his guidelines on www.ilads.org. He has some very specific recommendations.

Excercise one day and rest the next, this will help build muscle and help the body recover when their is rest after working the body...
