September 8, 2007 at 4:30 pm on Discovery Health Channel.
"Mystery ER" episode about Lyme disease, co-infections and the struggle for a diagnosis.
The episode title to look for in your listings is "Bittersweet." The Lyme story is part 2 of "Bittersweet" right after the story about poisoning. Look for Bittersweet in the listings, & Mystery ER. Times listed are for the Lyme episode. Time posted is Eastern Time...check local listings for your show time.
If you wish to thank the producers for the Lyme show here is the email!

So does this mean if we're recording it we should record from like 10pm to midnight to be sure we get the segment with Lyme in it?

Is this the one that was on before? If so, I saw it and it was very good.
What I want to know is what happened to that whole hour on Lyme and MS on Prime Time Live with Diane Sawyer??? It was supposed to be on in Feb., then put off until March, then it disappeared. I wonder if political pressure killed it.

I have gotten a ton of email asking to clarify the time schedule.
To simplify, just look for Mystery ER and the episode "Bittersweet" and remember that it is part 2 so if you start watching at the scheduled time, keep watching past the arsenic poisonings episode. This is Discovery Health Channel (DHC) not regular Discovery channel.
The times listed above are the exact time the Lyme program begins. Check your local time zone for your air time. Times above are Eastern USA.

I am so sorry that the person in the episode had to go threw that much pain & suffering I cried again even seeing it a second time.
Hit so close to home & very sad what we have to endure but glad to hear they are doing so much better & I admire the person as a true lyme warrior.
Hopfully regular people who watch this episdoe will be more educated in what lyme can do & get help quicker.
Keep fighting as long as there is breath in your body's.
Blessings Dana

Thank you for the nice comments on the TV show. Although many parts were left out, I think they did a good job presenting the facts. I never did try to drink bleach either!I was PO'd that the producers put that in when it never happened, oh well. LOL they wanted to play up the "mystery" aspect of it, drama for TV. Besides the clorox, the rest was true, just a bit out of sequence. For example the eye pain while driving was 10 years ago, and the Dominican republic also 10 years ago. It was not 2 years ago, and the episode was shot over a year ago when I was on a massive dose of steroids for an allergic reaction. Ironically, I was fresh out of the ER when this was filmed. Been off all meds for 2.5 years and doing well now! Back to life and work and happy! It does get better everyone, just keep fighting and stay strong!

I caught the show last night and re-taped it.
There is another show on "Mystery Diagnosis" airing this month as well. Similar type show on the Discovery Health Channel, too. Again, it's the second part of the show.
Here is the schedule:
Jun 18, 10:00 pm
(60 minutes) Remind Me Mystery Diagnosis Deadly Sore Throat TV-G, CC
Meredith Estes has baffling symptoms that can't be explained until she undergoes a risky left temporal craniotomy. Doug Posluszny can't explain his physical deterioration until an old acquaintance leads him to a physician who may have an answer.

Wild Condor,
I had just checked Lymenet to notice this post as the show had already started, since it started at 6 pm here. But got it in time to see your segment and was moved to tears.
I've read your story on the web page, but I guess this just re-enforces this in hopes that others will see it and become more aware. Thank you for letting us know about the program and thank you for sharing your story.
Julia:
I tried to send you a message but it says your box is full so sent an email to hopefully the right address. Let me know if you don't get it.

It may have gotten bumped back in the schedule. Programs change all the time. I believe the Deadly Sore Throat will be on Mystery Diagnosis tomorrow, as posted above. Check your listings for "Mystery ER" but it may have been rescheduled.

I saw it while it was on The Discovery Health channel. Such an informative segment. But I've tried passing on the information for TLC but that time frame is "American Chopper" and no sign of it for two weeks when a search is run.
So if anyone finds out when it will air next, I'd love to pass the information on to friends and family. Thanks.

I tried to catch it on TLC but it wasn't listed and something else was in it's place. I'll try to remember to keep a look out.
The TV listing, from the newspaper, had it down as Mystery ER, the first night, but it wasn't when I checked. (I had a tape all ready, too.)

Sorry if that was confusing -- the 'sore throat' episode was about Lyme (the 2nd half), featuring Doug. I guess the 1st half was about the sore throat story.
Check listings on TLC to see if this will be aired again, it's definitely worth watching.
