Sorry I can't help but I am in a similar boat. Month four of Mepron has been really tough, I just took a couple days off.
Some people say they could handle three teaspoons a day! I'm down to 1-1/2 and still hurting.
I've been into this with abx for almost two years and was the worst I've been yet last weekend and earlier this week.
I am going to ask my llmd about primaqunie/chloroquine next week. The more I read about WA-1, the scarier it seems and people post remarkable stuff about primaquine with short terms. Will advise.

I'm so confused about mepron! I've been taking it a month, and only had one night of chills.
My LLMD said to increase it until I have more chills, fatigue..die-off symptoms, basically. He said to try 3 tsp for 2 days, 4 for one day, and then the other days do 2 tsps. I have done this--took 4 tsp yesterday, and I don't feel any changes!
I don't know what's going on! Maybe I haven't given my body enough time on the higher doses??

You might want to try taking artemisinin at the same time. Nutricology at www.vitacost.com seems to have a devoted following. If you are dealing with babesia or malaria, the artemisinin will help break the fever temporarily.
This is a big generalization, but primaquine is to malaria what flagyl is to Lyme. It hits the dormant form.
Mepron can be harsh on the liver and kidneys, so you may also want to start taking protective supplements now, while all your levels are still normal.
Primaquine is an old-time malaria drug. Just go to Google and type in "relapsing malaria," "plasmodium vivax," and "primaquine."
