i've been doing research on the em rash that you get with lyme. every single article i've read says it is an expanding rash.

well, mine never did expand. it was a red outer area, then white inner with a red pimple in the middle. the top was oily looking and oozed. it also itched like crazy. the top was crusy too.

so did yours expand or not? does it have to? one article said if it did not, then it most likely was an allergic reaction and not lyme.

Depends on when you notice it, I think. The central clearing begins when the rash has stopped expanding.
