posted 15-06-2007 09:09 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My dear friends.
I ended up getting worse and admitted to the hospital the same day a few hours later. I was literally just discharged an hour ago.
I am not up to typing all of the details just yet since there are so many. Hopefully I can come to chat sat night.
The jist is that I was admitted and put on fluids and Rocephin. I had a million tests and A lumbar puncture.
The doc thought maybe I had a reaction to Doxy and/ or had/ have neuro Lyme. A lot of tests are still pending but most are normal.
I was sent home with a PICC line and Rocephin for 21 days.
My ins will pay for 30 days IV ABX for 4 weeks for Lyme. I still feel bad but a bit better. I think I let my pain get out of control from not taking my pain meds around the clock too.
I am happy my ID doc/ he has benn pretty agressive and I am grateful. I love him. I do have an email into a llmd so we will see.
Thanks so much for your support. I would have not been as knowledgeable and supported and "ready" for this tx without you all and this site. I am sure to have more Q's and crisis. Thank you and godbless. I do not feel too great so I am going to rest, but wanted to drop in and say thanks and give an update.
Any input about the IzV tx appreciated. Hope to be around for sat chat! Your friend, Melissa

Melissa,
Just a quick note to say how relieved all of us are to hear from you. I've been thinking of you. I'm amazed you got in the hospital and they had any clue as to what to do.
They look at us like we have three heads often when that is mentioned. Sounds like you are on a good path. Good luck and keep us posted.
