I'm on my 2nd round of abx and have never experienced a "herx." Is this an indication that they aren't working?
Thanks

when you mean 2nd round what do you mean, also what abx are you taking and at what dose? Not everyone herxes but about 95% of people do!

When I first started abx last summer I got better not worse, but I was pretty sick at that time. From then on I would have good days and
bad days then plateaued. I started babs treatment a few months ago and experienced my first real
herx. Maybe you have a co-infection, or if you have been recently infected your bacterial load
might not be that high. Another thing, some abx work better than others depending on what strain on Lyme you have. If your not getting better I
would talk to your doctor about it. If your getting better and not herxing than it sounds like its working.

Orals did nothing for me almost!!! I needed IV!!! If I hadn't known I had Lyme I would have thought I didn't!!! But many people just need to find the RIGHT oral!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It may not be in the first few!!! or you may have a coinfection blocking tx!! Best wishes, Sarah
