Right now I'm pulsing on Flagyl & IV Rocephin, for the most part I'm tolerating the meds without any problems except, every Friday I start to run a fever! Friday is also the day I stop infusions, is this strange?? I almost feel like I want to keep going 7 days a week. Has this happened to anyone else??/ It's very strange!

How high does your fever get merrygirl? How long have you had it? That would dive me nuts having a constant fever!!
I was thinking I'm just "teasing" the lyme so to speak and that I need to have constant infusions, I don't know, weird!

Just a thought, but have you been tested or treated for Bartonella -- Bartonella quintana is so named because the bacteria has a 5 day cycle (quint).

Thanks Bea, I never knew that, interesting! This fever on the fifth day just started with treament (Rcephin& Flagyl). It's cyclical now whereas my fevers were random before antibiotics.
It doesn't seem that Rocephin is doing too much for me. When I was in the hospital for 3 days they put me on Vancomycin (sp?) and boy that stuff REALLY worked for me, I herxed like crazy fever and all. It's too bad I couldn't have that instead of Rocephin.
Thanks for the info

Hi MrsDizzy, It sounds, to me (she of no medical background but some lyme experience) like your pulse is working very well.
Having the 2 days off probably allows your body to go for another round the next week.
Different docs handle this differently but staying on straight through might not net you the same results. Generally, in my understanding, pulsed doses are higher and the rest is more necessary.
I think it's a good sign it's working.
