I don't know if this is a herx or not, but for about four days now I've felt like a zombie. I've been on abx for almost two weeks.

I feel so extremely fatigued. I feel like I have no energy (though I didn't really have any in the first place, it's worse now).

I feel like I may collapse at any moment. I feel "out of body" so to speak. I feel weak, I even kind of feel like I may die, I don't feel like talking at times when I'd usually have a bunch of things to say, etc. The list could go on.

Anyone else feel like this? :-( I'm scared of feeling like this. I feel extremely terrible.

(Maybe being on my period isn't helping either). Do the women here feel it's worse around that time, too?

probly a herx, back off your ABX and get to feeling better, then get back on them...

It's not good to put a beating on your body, some people have actually died from too severe of a herx reaction but this is really rare! Just take it easy, I have already learned that lesson about 10 times!

So even if I was perscribed to take abx two times a day, you're saying I should, for example, take one a day until I feel somewhat better?

Is it okay to do that?

Thanks!

disturbedme,

sorry for such a crappy illness [toilet] . I would definately call your doctor and let he/she know what's going on. It's good to give updates and maybe you'll get some suggestions. My prayers go out to you, hang in there [kiss]

disturbed,

It is best to call your doc before making a change in your meds. Some docs, say back off ..... others say push through. Your doc knows you and your own personal situation you really need to consult wit the doc on this.

Also, your lyme will definitely flare during during your period.

Hope this helps,
robi

Disturbedme,
I am sorry to hear about the way you are feeling! What you are descrbing sound liek what happened to me when I herxed.
Some peoples Lyme does get worse when you are on your period so that might be adding to it as well.

When I feel really bad I only take one antibiotics daily instead of 2, wait a few days, and then go back to 2.

Good Luck!

Sounds like a herx to me.

Before you change your abx, call your doctor.

Get lost of rest. Drink lots and lots of water ... squeeze a lemon in the water.

Try coffee enemas.

You need to detox. I get like that when I herx ... even the having something to say but too lazy to talk part.

If you were bitten recently, then backing off the meds is not a good idea.

Call your dr and ask if it's OK to skip a day of doxy.

I agree with others. Call your doctor. Also, you may be one of the 25% of the population who cannot detox biotoxins - die off of bugs very well. The way you are feeling indicates that you probably need more agressive detox - also you need to detox metals as you are killing bugs. Research here - lots of info about detox.

I have been on abx for a year and I was extremely ill at first. My LLMD kept upping my detox regime and now I feel quite a bit better even though I'm on a pretty substantial treatment for lyme and babesia. I still don't feel great but better. Detox is critical. Also probiotics.

Feeling like you aren't up to talking happens to my brother, sister and I when we are extremely fatigued and lyme seems to be fully capable of making us feel this way. It's not laziness so much as absolutely no energy. It's hard for others to understand unless they've been there but just rest as much as possible and if you don't have to, don't make the effort to talk or do anything. Be kind to yourself. Watch TV or a movie or something that takes little to no energy. It will pass and you will feel better again.

Hope you feel better soon.

Terry

I agree with the above posters...call your doctor before changing your meds around...and I also agree with the fact that Lymes seems to surge during your period...My poor daughter has been knocked off her feet during her period and seems to rally when it's over.
