Please have your liver checked. It wouldn't hurt to rule out an inflamation...
kind regards,

Eric, I'm glad you brought this up.
I began art recently, only to stop all abx/babs treatment shortly thereafter for GI reasons, but have noticed that since then I have developed petechiae - a new symptom, in my book.
Had not thought of a connection between the art and petechiae, though.

I've read that it's related to babs. I had it off and on until I started Malarone, now not so much. Patches of those red dots, under the skin not a rash, mostly on upper legs, arms.
Could babs be returning? C

I think it's babs, too, not the art.
Mine appeared when I had to stop babs meds for awhile due to GI stuff, so I'm pretty sure it was babs making a comeback.

Mine came up between babesia treatments.
Everywhere...on my stomach, arms, upper legs, etc.
However, now that I am back on babs treatment, I have not noticed any new red spots.
Now.....will those red spots go away or will I just
Be a walking dot-to-dot???

I got the little red spots when I first became acutely sick...
then started treatment six months later...red spots stayed.
Have/Had Babesia, Lyme and Ehrlichia and quite likely Bartonella though I have not been tested.
Husband started having these too when he got sick.
I know many people with them that have been ill with tbi's...
Of course when I went to the ER with a rash that I thought was a spider bite because no attached tick...I developed one right next to the bite...has not gone away.
