Please add to this post if you have notes.
Ehrlichiosis Brady RC, Bissler JJ. Department of Pediatrics, Division of Nephrology, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Severe illness with acute renal failure, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and coagulopathy frequently occurs with hemolytic uremic syndrome/thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, hematological malignancies, sepsis, and collagen-vascular diseases.
We present a 16-year-old male fast-food worker with underlying chronic renal insufficiency who manifested these abnormalities as a result of Ehrlichia chaffeensis sepsis. Doxycycline therapy and aggressive supportive care led to complete recovery.
It nice to meet you. I am just learning about Lyme after being bitten several years ago. I want you to know I appreciate your wisdom and research you do. Thanks so much for sharing. Much Love, Roz

Welcome To Life..
Nice to see you! Thanks for the kind words too!
There are a lot of good folks here to help.. so be sure to ask away.
Treepatrol has a nice... no... a VERY nice link near the top of the Medical Section with information to help those just getting started here.
Do note we are not doctors.. just volunteers here trying to help people get good information and make the Lyme road a little less rocky.
I hope that soon you will be shining like the moon. If we can help... just give a hollar.

Hi Tincup: Longtime since I have been on but I have a question and knew just who could help.
I have a friend whose mother in-law was just diagnosed with Ehrlichliosis but no mention of Lyme Disease was made. This puzzled me because I thought they went hand in hand. She is rather ill and in the hospital.
Any thoughts on this would be helpful.
