Hello all, I have had lymes for 4 years now and have struggled through so much. I have had to relearn how to do so many things and at this point feel so very down. I am only 24, and feel as though my life is over. I cannot do much of any of the things I wish due to this disease, and the neurological and emotional problems are becoming so hard for me to deal with. The memory loss, confusion and decision making difficulties that I have experienced along with not always being able to put sentences together makes me feel so stupid. my best friend, partner says that i am choosing to be ignorant, stupid and not working hard enough to be a better more active person, I feel so discouraged by this. Somedays my medicine makes me feel so ill that i can hardly get up, and I cant afford to see my doctor. And I am rambling. I am feeling lost. My medical question is: does anyone know a way for the nausea to go down, and how do the three anitbiotics that i am on affect the body. I take flagyl(3xday),ceftin(2xday),andZithro(1xday). I feel so sick and alone. Please help Posts: 5 | From San Jose, CA | Registered: Jul 2007

First, how long have you been on these and what are your other symptoms? I've been on Ceftin and Flagyl myself - not too much experience with zith yet - just some short clips.
Ceftin initially caused some diarrhea and yellowing of the stools. It makes my teeth feel gross, too, but I think I have another bug lurking yet.
Flagyl cleared my diarrhea up in the past. As did zith, but I think everybody is different.
I'm wondering if you have coinfections flaring right now - like babesia or ehrlichia? - you sound like me.
If they do put you on anything for babs, try to get your doc to put you on malarone, because the anxiety and psych symptoms on Larium, in my experience, are horrific. I don't think you'd do good on this one.
I do think you can do some things here that will help:
1) You might want to pulse your antibiotics and back off and detox a little before you continue. That amount of medicine kills a lot of bugs, which means you probably have a lot of toxins stuck in you liver. It could be that, or a coinfection now has opportunity to proliferate.
2) Try taking HOT baking soda baths - soak until you stop sweating - as hot as you can handle. Believe it or not, these will help over time as they draw out toxins and radiation.
4) What's your diet like? Do you have food allergies or intolerance?
I have to eat whole foods - meaning one ingredient - the only other ingredient being water, salt, or ascorbic acid (vitamin C). I cannot tolerate ANY of the most common food allergens right now - wheat, corn, soy, milk, eggs, fish, red meat, yeast.
But definitely AVOID all sugar, grains, dairy, eggs, and red meat. Parasites love these. Go easy on high iron and high copper foods, too.
Finally, I've found that due to heavy metal toxicity, I am extremely hypersensitive to electromagnetic pollution such as cell phones, computers, cordless phones, etc...
Click on the link in my signature, and if you have a cell phone, I'd get rid of it. You might want to read 'Cross Currents' and 'The Body Electric', too.
I believe EMFs are behind chronic Lyme.
