I had a MRI of my brain tonight. I made them give me a disc of images. I was going to bring it to my LLMD visit on Monday It is my first one.

This may be a dumb question but will he look at it and will it aid him in any way? He is going to see it before my duck who ordered it. There are no reports or anything, but will he likely know what he is looking at?

Also I had a couple of CT scans in the last few weeks. Why is MRI different (besides magnetic vs xray) Are the pictures different or better?

Thanks everyone. Melissa

MRI's are very high resolution and pick up everything. I would say yes, take it to your LLMD, he may not know how to read one as well as a radiologist can but he would like to see

Did you have contrast die injected during the MRI? If so, it makes your blood vessels in your brain appear bright white on the films. Its amazing. I went over my MRI images with my duck neuro who put me on antidepressants.

Hi merrygirl [hi]

Yep, it can't hurt to take it with you - why not?

Do you still have your CT reports, too? Take it all!

So happy your appt is coming up so soon!

Never a dumb question:

I took all my MRI's with me on my first appt. My LLMD was glad to have them..

I would agree, take everything you have. [Wink]

the best,
tory
