Just curious, if the product is meant to relieve bloating and bowel issues but I don't have them on ABX treatment, should I even take it?

if you are taking abx, I think you want to take probiotics to AVOID developing problems.

Yes!

I don't have trouble either and consider myself very lucky. The idea is to prevent trouble, which is almost inevitable with abx over time since you're killing off the good bacteria along with the bad. Probiotics repopulate the good bacteria in your gut.

Take probiotics a few hours away from abx. Theralac and Culturelle are a few brands people like, do a search and you'll find more.

Metagenics makes one called Ultra Flora IB. It is stronger then their other ones and really works well. It is so strong you only have to take one a day. I take it right before bed.

The good ones tell you to keep them in the fridge. Heat kills the live bacteria.

I use GNC's Super Probiotic...10 billion organisms per pill, only one a day. I also take an acidopholus (not included in the GNC one) every day and a container of yogurt.
I also take a diflucan about every three weeks.

Roger, if you are a guy (I assume from your name) the diflucan may not be the pill they would give you, but there are internal lotrimins for guys and stuff. I think that diflucan will kill internal interstinal yeasts, but because that's not the FDA indication, I don't know if you can get it or not. My first month I was sick and miserable and felt like a walking fungus. I feel MUCH better on the probiotics and its definaly not placebo effect!

Nancy.
