Does anybody get fingertip pain / tenderness? Sometimes it feels like my fingertips are tender, or inflamed. But they look normal. It's a very vague feeling that's hard to describe.
I also get tingling & prickling in my fingers at times.
I take B12 sublingually, but i'm not sure if it makes a difference.
Are there any detox pads for your hands?
Thanks!

Dear Thursday,
I get the same sensation in my toes.
Sometimes just one will hurt. Today three on my right foot are tingling.

This happens in my hands as well sometimes just 1 finger.
I had one finger that felt like it was broken and boy did it hurt. I remember it was my worst symptom for a few days.
maybe soak your hands in an warm Epsom salt soak? It seemed to help me.
Good Luck, Melissa

ThursdayNext, do your fingers turn white and then red in the cold? I guess this is Raynaud's.
Also they feel very sensitive and yet, when I touch a very soft fabric like satin, I can't feel the fabric on my fingertips.
Does that happen to any of you?
This is all less noticeable in the summertime.

Swollen fingers was (and unfortunately still is) one of my husbad's initial symptoms. All of the doctors are fascinated with his hands but haven't been able to help much. They just start muttering about autoimmune, vasculitis, yaddy yaddy yadda.
His fingers become so inflammed he gets sores on them due to poor circulation. He wears silk liner gloves all the time to keep them from getting cold and also because they are so sensitive.

I don't know if this ties into your post, but back in maybe 1987 or 1988, when my daughter was still a baby, she came down with blisters on her fingertips, and boy was she miserable.
I thought at the time that she was just teething and the blisters were from her sucking on them.
But not long after she became ill, I became ill and developed sore fingertips and a sore tongue. I thought I just had the flu, and blamed my tender fingertips and tongue on something I had touched or ate.
But then - my husband became ill. He also had the sore fingertips and tongue and felt horrible.
I mentioned this to my daughter's pediatrician, and he mentioned some sort of disease horses get which is highly contageous - hoof and mouth disease?
Not sure what he called it and if this could be what's going on, but figured I'd mention it.
It did eventually clear up on my fingertips, but I do notice my tongue soreness sometimes returns since my Lyme went chronic.

I used to get the exact same thing! My fingertips looked normal but felt tender.
I also got/get pain in the nerves of my fingers, esp. the inside of my right ring finger. These pains would run into my fingertips leaving them tender.
Not sure if Raynauds disease is related to this. But I have that as well.
