So we went to Dr. J yesterday morning and well, I have a huge weight off of my shoulders!!!

Dr. J talked to us and observed my son for an hour and a half - I didn't feel rushed at all.

Bottom line - he thinks my son is fine! Being that it's been 3 months since he's been bitten, he strongy feels that he would start showing other symptoms by now if he wasn't ok.

He has no concern right now whatsoever for Lyme or co-infections. He thinks that because we treated the Lyme early enough, and that he's asymptomatic, he's just fine!

Dr J. felt my son's joints, toes, etc. and said nothing felt swollen and they obviously weren't sore.

I'm so glad that I went to Dr. J. He said in the future if I find another tick on my son, he'll start him on 3 weeks of antibiotics as a precautionary measure.

He also said since my son was already bitten, he has the skin that ticks like, so he wouldn't be surprised if he gets bitten again (GREAT!!!!!!, UGH!)

But all in all we got great news yesterday. I'm so relieved! Thank you all for your support over these last few weeks [Smile]

I love him. He ordered a test for my son that turned out positive, put him on medicine and 3 days later he was fine. I took my son to the regular pediatrician who said it was viral. Dr. J. knew what to test for, did the test, prescribed medication and it was cleared up. That was that. He was treated for lyme for 3 years, now at 12 years old, he has been symptom free for almost a year. We should thank God that we have someone like him.
