Not yet, but next week we're going to Cape Cod, and I'm starting to herx as we speak. We don't have kids (yet), but I'm still kind of worried about herxing while on vaca.

We go to the Cape every year, so it's not like we need to explore the area; it's all about rest and relaxation - and food.

Just plan to take it easy, that's what I'm going to do.

Don't stress over it. I was definately moving slower over vacation than I used to. Kids are adaptable and dealing with an ill parent teaches them compassion.

We're always naturally concerned about our kids having a great childhood, but I've seen more positive things happen to my kids and my hubby since I've been sick than ever before.

They are the most caring, supportive people there are. There's no time in our house to be self-centered ... for them anyway. There's been a lot of taking care of mom.

Take care of yourself on vacation. Either you will have the stregth to do something or not. Don't push yourself out of guilt. Enjoy the different surroundings.

We go on vacation and make the best of it.

We went at the beginning of June. We stayed in a cabin at a camping resort. Plenty of activities for the kids to do.

We also went on day trips to an amusement park, caverns and shopping.

I took a nap every day from around 11-1. My kids know that I have to have my rest. I had just come off IV Rocephin 2 days before leaving. I was herxing big time.

I felt pretty bad during some of it but I just followed my same schedule of rest that I do at home.

Have a nice vacation...kit

I always feel better on vacation, even when I start a new abx and should be herxing. I think it's being away from work and getting a chance to relax.

Just make sure you can take it easy. If there will be other adults with you, such as your kids' father, ask the adults to take on some responsibilities you normally take. Like carrying the big bag full of snacks, bandaids, sunscreen and everything else the mom usually carries.

If you will be out in the sun, keep yourself hydrated and keep your meds cool.
