Has anyone ever been to a place like the Cleveland Clinic for the lyme disease? My primary care doc. suggested it because I am feeling totally out of it, no energy. Blood work can back fine. He can't understand why I have the pain that I do, said that if I were his wife or daughter, he would take them there. I am guessing that the Septra I am taking is giving me a wicked "healing crisis" from the die off. Any thought on this?

The best place to go for lyme treatment is a good LLMD and not a clinic that doesn't know anything about lyme disease.
I would not waste your time and alot of money there, find a LLMD to help you. Have you been diagnosed with lyme through a blood test?

Forget it!! Do you have an LLMD?? My dr says there is research that showed that the pain from Lyme disease can be worse than post-operative pain! I agree!!
No "major" clinic takes Lyme seriously. If you want to spend a lot of money to be laughed at, make that appointment. I sure wouldn't want to pay for that!

Try an archive search for cleveland clinic. Basically they get the thumbs down. Strange but true that all the big name medical institutions are doing the worst job with lyme. Like Mayo for instance. Makes you wonder what else they are getting wrong.

I know a lot about the Cleveland Clinic and Lyme having been an advocate for Lyme disease patients in the Cleveland area since 1990.
My observation on the Clinic and Lyme is No, No Way, Never, Not. They published Sigal's paper on Pseudo Lyme Disease in the Cleveland Clinic Journal and had him out to give a big talk to the doctors. They have told many many patients that it is all in their heads.
Nuh uh, do not go there for Lyme disease treatment or diagnosis.
I don't mean to condemn the whole Clinic. It is a wonderful center for cardiac and for cancer treatment and care, however.
