The Florastor worked great for me. Got my system back on track rather quickly.

I love Florator. I have only taken it when needed -- when I have had diarhea combined with gut pain. It always has resolved any of these problems quite quickly. It is a type of yeast, so diflucan or other anti-fungals will kill it, to my knowledge.

I had major problems w/ florastor! For some reason, it created so much yeast that it was up and down my esophagus. How do I know? First, every am when I woke-up I felt balls of what I thought were food in the back of my throat. Additionally, I had problems swallowing. I went to the dr. and the next thing that I knew I was scheduled for a colon. and endo. When I did my prep for the procedure, I found tons of white ball-things in the toilet. Even at the end of the prep, more balls. I told the nurse at the hospital and she agreed yeast. The dr. would never tell me yes or no. He probably wanted the $ from the procedure.
Anyways, after I put two and two together I realized it was the Florastor. After, nyastain and diet it is now gone. Of course the prep flushed a lot out too.
I do not know if this would happen w/ you, just beware.

Wow, that's horrible about the Florastor! I've taken it and nothing like that has happened to me. It seems to be working.
My LLMD also recommended Natren Healthy Trinity.

Hmmmmm.... after reading the Florastor site and some posts on here I see that it is a type of yeast which kind of scares m e. But it's supposedly a "good" type of yeast and not a bacterium like acidophilus?
Ugh ...seems really strange to ingest any type of yeast when one is suffering with Candida problems. I will look into it some more.
Anyone tried Immunostim?
