I have been having more intense symptoms; more dizzy, tired, ears ringing LOUD, more anxiety, feeling way more sensitive to heat, then get chills, and tingling sensations; but mainly ALOT more tired for the past 3 weeks or so.

Is this normal for herxing???

And if SO, does herxing sometimes last more than 30 days?

I heard that the growth phase for the bacterium is every 30 days. What exactly does that mean??
And how does that affect herxing??

And Also does anyone go on and off of abx for 2 weeks? oh btw, I'm on amoxicillin(oral) and have been on them for going on 7 weeks.

Thank you for reading,
Suexi

according to the dr. I have probably had lyme for at least 10 years. I have been sick for the last 5 years and I'm on 2,000 mg/daily amoxicillin.
which is my first time treating it w/abx.

sorry to say It does last a long time. For me im still herxing of antifungals now.

The first round of Biaxin took about 6 weeks. Then nothing for a LONG time. It would feel like a herx but it really was YEAST.

Oh boy do I have it bad now. Not gas or bloating but HERXING.

Nystatin makes me so weak I end up on the floor.
A burning floor that is.

Good luck. Benadryll helps some.

Oh yea, you should most definitelly be on an anti-fungal or take probiotics.

Take Pau D Arco herb if you can or Caprylic Acid.

You dont want to end up with me. Those antibiotics do more harm then good in someone whose immune function is low allready.

Good morning all !
Suexie I too was treated with amox as my first abx , and at 4weeks I felt really bad . 2000 mgs/day is actually not avery large dosage but I susspect your llmd didn't want you to herx any more than you are.

Hang in there ,you should start to feel better, and when you do llmd may up it Keep track of your symptoms and let them know what you're feeling

they may add bromelain to the amox. as it makes it more affective at crossing the blood brain barrier .

10 yrs untreated is substantial length of time , it may take awhile !Between your llmd and lymenet rest assured ,your in good hands , at last. [Smile]

Thank you everybody. This board is great. I'm glad i found it. Think i would be in a mental institution if i didn't find you people. [Smile]

I'm still on the abx; not as much and decided to get a good LLMD. It's an 8 hour drive from me, so wish me luck. **sighs**

Sorry for the herx symptoms. They really suck. I can empathize.

I have been treating lyme and babs for about 2 1/2 years, and herxing all along the way. It is a slow, gradual process but the herxes start to get less and less, and fewer and fewer. Try to keep in mind that it is a short-term thing that usual only lasts a few days. It really helps to get through the bad days to remember that it does get better.

Hang in there, and good luck!
