I was reading somewhere on the Internet, that when you are on IV Rocephin to expect a herx around day 21.

I never heard of this before, I thought it was the 28 day herx.

Thanks,

Trish

some people don't herx at all

three or four weeks of rocephin isn't long enough for lyme treatment.

That is like putting a band-aid on a bullet hole.

I've been on IV rocephin for 4 weeks and I didn't herx at 21 days. I actually don't think I herxed at all.

Do you think 6 weeks Rocephin is long enough? My doc wants me to get 2 more weeks, but I don't know if 2 more weeks is enough to do anything. (My story - I started getting sick Feb 07, diagnosed May 07, been on 2 months oral ammoxicillan and 1 month iv rocephin.)

I know lots of people have had success on IV rocephin, but I almost feel like the orals helped more. :/

I would say three months or longer a lot of llmd will do this for you treat until no more symptoms.

I have been on recephin for over 3 weeks now and since 2 days after starting it, I have been worse (feeling like I did before treatment started) so I have a feeling I have bartonella and have been herxing on it pretty good but the herxes are so crazy. I can take high doses for a while and not much will happen and then sometimes I will have to completly stop it because I get so sick!

I think everyone is different.

I've been on rocephin 29 days so far and I felt pretty crappy around the 27th and 28th day but it's hard to tell whether it was a herx or not. I guess I'll see how I feel around the same time after month #2.
