I am going to make an appt with Dr M in Fond du Lac, WI, tomorrow. My question is should I go ahead & send my blood sample to Igenex or wait & let Dr M do his own testing which I imagine he will want to do anyway.

I called & made an appt. I could not get in to see him until NOVEMBER! So I took the appt with his PA, since I will be in the system then & would be easier to get referred to him if necessary. They said that all appts with her are gone over with him.
They do their testing via Igenex so I don't see any point in my doing it myself now since they will do it next month. What am I going to do with the results anyway if my appt is not for another month?
I think I will order some of the herbs tho from Stephen Buhner's wonderful book. And I also found that yahoo group that is based on his book, Healing Lyme.

I see a PA at my doc's office, too. It works out just fine.
I tested before I went in so that I could be prescribed meds at my first visit, so I didn't have to wait for the test results. I was too anxious to wait six weeks for my appt, then another couple weeks for the results/meds.
It's up to you how you do it.

If you ordered your Igenex test before going in to see the doctor, how did you know that the tests you ordered from Igenex would be the same as the ones your doctor would order? Igenex has so many!

Most use the 188 and 189....WB IgG and IgM.

I got the complete panel ... but as Lymetoo said, I'd get the Western Blots. I don't think the other tests that came with the complete were actually necessary.
Your LLMD can test you for whatever else at your appt. The Western Blot was enough to get me meds. Then he did other tests.
