I have an appt with an Infectious Disease doctor on Thursday. I am not clear as to if he is a LLMD, but I got his name from someone here.
If you had it to do over again, what would you do differently for your 1st appt? I believe he uses IGeneX. I just read someone had them ship the supplies to their home to save money. That might be a good idea. Any other suggestions. Anything to look out for to run the other way? I also just read on another thread don't do a urine test? I don't know what that means, but I am curious.
I look forward to some good advice!

If it was me that you read had it shipped to my house, which I did, it wasn't to save money, it was because I wanted my doctor to use an IGeneX test and the local doc knew nothing about Lyme. I wanted to prevent her from having any excuse for not using it!!
I got tested for everything -- coinfections, heavy metals, adrenals, thyroid, etc. I would be sure you do ... especially heavy metals as they play a big role in Lyme Disease.

Definitely write down all of your questions before you go. Sometimes they can really overwhelm you with information.
Make good use of the time to talk about your specific problems, symptoms, etc. You're paying for it, so you be sure to talk too!

on your list of questions, i type mine up and make sure MOST IMPORTANT ones are at the top going down to trivial ones.
i hand every dr. i deal with my list of questions, and mark my 2nd copy with their answers.
it helps them on dictation to make them MORE DETAILED AND ACCURATE helping us patients!
make sure you know what your health insurance will pay for and NOT!
i learned the hard way the OPTING OUT OF MEDICARE form means that llmd will NOT submit any bills to medicare.
it also means since you had NO DENIAL FORM FROM MEDICARE, YOUR SECONDARY HEALTH INSURANCE, BCBS, WILL NOT PAY A DIME SINCE THEY HAVE NO FORM FROM MEDICARE!!!
I can understand it for medicare but for these drs. to take away my choice to file my bills with our high-paid health provider; i disagree with that 100% !! maddening to me.
took me 16 months to finally be told by bcbs they were not paying for my lyme bills due to NO MEDICARE FORM showing denied payments!!!!
