I know there are lots of posts on this, why can't I locate them right now? Must be my frazzled brain today.

Gluten-free people - can you give me any links to yummy recipes for a person new to the gluten free diet? Any tips on how to get started?

Lymetoo, are you out there?

Thanks, all!

www.glutenfreeforum.com

Remember that meats, fish, poultry, eggs, vegetables, fruit, rice, potatoes, etc. are all naturally gluten-free. Since we all should be eating natural, whole foods, this is a great place to start.

From there, I like Tinkyada Pasta made from brown rice and Kinnikinnick bread (be sure to toast it).

I skip most of the gluten-free replacement products ... I mainly eat whole foods that are naturally gluten-free.

I second Tinkyada for pasta and Kinnickinick for pizza shells, english muffins, bagels. Glutino also has good bagels, breads, etc.

Cactus, I have been cooking gluten free for 13 years. Here are my favorite websites.

1)Delphi Forums Celiac disease on-line support group

2)Gluten Freeda

3) gfutah.org

There are many wondeful Gf blogs now, too. I recently developed a new flatbread recipe that is superfast, good tasting and has great stretchy texture. If you want the recipe, let me know.

Best places to shop in No. Va:
Healthway, Wegmans, new Whole Foods. I would be glad to help you with other details.I have a huge accumulation of recipes.

Please feel free to e-mail me. I need to keep busy as I took my older daughter to college yesterday!
