Just wondering if anyone else experiences this really strange symptoms. It feels like I have live insects under my feet skin, mostly soles but also sides. If I put my hand there it feels like fast subtle muscle fiber fasciculations.
Any idea if lyme or a coinfection is causing this? My feet also burn, actually everything up to my knees burns.

In the beginning of treatment, I felt like I had creepy crawlie things in my hair and on the side of my face, but not in my feet.
My feet, instead, were numb almost all the time for months.

Yes, I have similar symptoms. My feet tingle, burn and the soles of my feet hurt.
I have found that ceftin has helped with the burning, but I feel that the tingling is damage.
I also think bart has a lot to do with this. I am seeing my llmd tomorrow, and I am going to address this specific problem.
If I find out anything new, I will post it.
Feel better.

It seems to be bart, that's what I have been treating for the last 2 weeks with 750mg levaquin. I had this symptom at the very beginning of my saga 5 months ago and today again. The levaquin is doing something: my burning is different than before, moving around my lower legs, everything twitching under my feet etc. and my soles now actually hurt which is a classic bart symptom. Herx? hope so.

Oh my soles....! Thats what drove me to the dr finally. I can barely step on them in the morning. They feel like they are "full" of something...esp the balls of my feet. I also am having itchy feelings on my arms and feeling like theres a fuzz or something on my arms, but theres not.
Can someone pleez tell me what "bart" is? Is it a form of lyme or what? How do you get that?

Bart is bartonella, one of the coinfections. A lot of people here have it and can answer questions for you.

That's because they are worms!! Look on the sides of your feet and see if you have zig/zag lines that look like veins.
It is called CLM (cutaneous larva migrans) Also go to www.lymephotos.com This guy is on the money. Have had these things coming out of me for over 1 year.

The famous lyme doc Dr B says that pain in soles of feet is bart. I'll buy that. My soles are real painful in am when my feet hit the floor.
Painful again if I'm sitting for a period of time and then get up on feet. I have other sx that fit the bart dx.
I haven't had success getting rid of this one yet. I will, some how some way.

For Bartonella treatment The bacillus is susceptible to several antibacterial agents in vitro, including penicillins, cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, macrolides, quinolones, trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, and rifampin. Greatest clinical efficacy has been observed following treatment with rifampin, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, clarithromycin, and azithromycin. In one placebo-controlled study, azithromycin therapy was associated with more rapid diminution in size of infected lymph nodes. The majority of cases of cat-scratch disease occurring in normal hosts do not require anti-infective therapy for resolution of infection. From Here ncbi.nlm.nih
