I know steriods are really bad for Lyme. Ive been doing well w/ heat and mild hyperbaric. bedbound from a slipped disk and they want/think the steriod injection may get me back on my feet. I've heard of people going downhill fast w steriods. Suggestions?

If you can afford it go to a conventional hyperbaric center. HBOT under pressures greater that 2 (ATA) has healing qualities that are documented. That is why it is used for healing wounds...
At pressures greater than 2.4 ATA (atmospheres absolute) it has be shown to have lethal effect on the BB spirochete...
You may not have to take the steroids and kill the bacteria as well.
Hope this helps,
Julia

BE VERY Careful! I had an AWFUL experience with those. Erased a year of progress in a flash. I would try PT, TENS, Ice/heat, Vax-D, traction etc 1st if I could do it over.
They are a band aid to get over the pain and can be a disaster for Lymies. I got an Rx for a personal TENS & kept in on all day. Really helped.
Talk to your LLMD about this 4 sure & feel better soon. I know it's rough, hang in there.
