I wake up @ 5am everyday, agitated and nauseous. It usually passes by 10am, but it's a bad way to start the day. anyone else have this-any ideas?

My mornings are the worst and I usually feel better as the day progresses. Not sure of what the scientific rationale could be.
Nausea has been my number one symptom all along and I've found if I sit up in bed for 5 minutes before getting up, pop a small dose of ativan (0.5mg), it helps.

Have you had your adrenal levels tested?

I've had this periodically, too.
Sometimes taking my evening meds at an earlier time seems to help. Sometimes not.
Getting your adrenals tested is a good idea.
I hope you find an answer to this soon!

Valerian root is very relaxing ... if everything tests normal, you might try it, with your LLMD's permission, of course.

Are you having any carbs in the late evening? I find that taking in any carbs or foods on the no no list makes me feel more ill in the morning than usual. Just a thought...

My cortisol was ok, but my DHEA, between 7am and 9am was too high..no one seems to know what to do for that.

Buhner (in Healing Lyme) suggests using an adaptogenic for restoring that kind of thing.
I tried the siberian ginseng (the kind he specifies) and it seemed to help my body get back on an even keel. But I know it was my cortisol, not the DHEA that was out of line.
However, I know this disease is messing up the signals in all the parts, so maybe it would be worth looking into.

I notice above Improver referred to the "no no list". May I ask what that is? Hope I don't sound too ignorant, I'm still very new to this. Well, not new to Lyme but new to this site. Wish this site had existed 18 years ago when I was first infected/diagnosed/treated.

I didn't read through anybody else's suggestions or whatnot, but when I started treatment the mornings were the worse.
Like you, I would wake up at 4 to 5 and feel so nauseated. Sometimes it would be so bad where I would actually throw up. Crackers became my best friend, but my dr. didn't want me eating them as much as I was. It would subside about 10am and nothing else until the next morning. Just like morning sickness.
I got some ginger supplements, but never took them. By the time I bought them, the nausea was easing off. It was the combination of meds that I was on and the next treatment I took something else.
Also if you're nutrient deficient in certain things, you can be nauseated. So my suggestion would be to get a nutrient panel done to see where you are deficient and also a regular CMP (something Metabolic Panel). Adrenal and other hormonal things could also play a roll in nausea.

Thanks-I did get a metabolic panel and blood work-low on Vit D, that was about it. I think it is my adrenals, but no one has been any help with "adjusting" them.

I had a similar problem... felt like I was ging to throw up every morning.
Of all the different abx and drugs that I have taken, the one that seems to have solve the problem was levequin... maybe it was something related to the bartonella family of bugs. (These seem to be GI centric in some cases)
In any case once it was eliminated, it has never come back.
