Anyone try fasting, like not eating or drinking for 10 hours a day, for example, and see if this cleanses the system. Is it dangerous while we are treating our lyme?

Hello, I do the juice fasting once and awhile. I would not recommend doing a plain fast. Your body still needs nutrition.

I'm Jewish, and used to fast once a year for Yom Kippur. I haven't fasted since I began Lyme treatment, because I need the energy and I have to have food with some of my medications.

I know some people believe you should fast regularly if you are on large amounts of medications or supplements. But honestly, I don't think my body could handle it.

I have not eaten becuase my stomach was so messed up I just couldnt ... I would never voluntary fast unless my dr thought it was benificial in someway.

If I dont drink enough water throughout the day I get a headache...

If I didnt drink anything for 10 hours I would have a sizeable headache at the very least.

Any type of cleansing fast I ever heard of included drinking large amounts of water. Your body needs something to flush the system.

The only fasts I know of that don't use water are religious fasts.

I don't think it would be safe if you are on antibiotics or even if you are quite sick.
