Doctors across the country don't realize how much damage to their reputations and their credibility they have caused as a result of their refusal to recognize lyme disease as a chronic infection. Aprox. 200,000 people being infected every year are now critical of any diagnosis for any condition made by doctors.
These people now talk to their relatives and friends about how they were misdiagnosed and treated for made up conditions by the doctors.
The damage by word of mouth to millions of people across the country continues.
Patients are now looking at their doctors as incompetent phony's who treat their patients as medically inferior uneducated people.
With information from Universities Medical centers and researchers throughout the world many patients spend more time learning about their condition then their doctor spent in medical school.
With this information in hand they now challenge their doctors credibility and knowledge.
The medical system is in crisis not only because of cost but also because of misdiagnosis and wrong treatments, not to mention the many thousands of unnecessary surgeries every year.

Very good points, Al.
